All wheel fittings are considered to be "safety critical" items as they perform a very important task. They keep the vehicle's wheels safely and securely attached to the vehicle while allowing easy removal in the event of a puncture or servicing requirements. With this in mind it is of the utmost importance that any parts we supply you with, that are to be used to fit wheels to any vehicle, are the correct specification. If you have any doubts about these parts you should seek advice from a qualified mechanic.
Before buying any of our products you must do the following: • Make sure that the vehicle's wheel brace has the same hex head size as the nuts or bolts you are buying so in the event of a puncture the wheel brace will fit the nuts or bolts and allow the wheel to be removed. • Tighten all nuts or bolts to car manufacturer's recommended torque setting. This information can be found in the manufacturers handbook. If it is not you should consult the relevant main dealer or a qualified mechanic. • Do not over tighten. Do not use an air gun. • Always apply the handbrake at all times when working on a vehicle. • Check the tightness of all nuts or bolts after the first 100 miles and periodically check tightness of all nuts or bolts. Basic safety regulations and common sense should be used. • If in doubt do not fit our wheel accessories until you sure you have the correct information and parts.. • We recommend that a visual check is made on removing the original nuts/bolts so that the locking nuts/bolts are an exact match. • Make sure if you are replacing an alternative nut or bolt that they are of the same specification as the one you are replacing. • All weights, sizes & measurements stated are approximate
After fitting any of our wheel parts and accessories, we strongly recommend that before the vehicle is moved or driven, each wheel that has been worked on should be turned through 2 or 3 complete revolutions. This is to ensure that no parts foul or obstruct the brakes, suspension or interfere with the smooth turning of the wheel.
We also strongly advise that the wheels are turned to full lock both left and right to ensure they do not foul any part of the vehicle.
Due to our stringent security procedures replacement keys for the EVO MK5, Microlock or Triolock can only be ordered using the card supplied in each pack of locks. This card provides all the details you will need to order a replacement key.
The part numbers listed in the Evo Mk5 and Trilock application are for original steel or alloy wheels as supplied as standard fit by the manufacturer.
To find the correct part number for aftermarket alloy wheels it is necessary to obtain the specification of the non locking nut/bolt for the required wheel and refer to the specification section list above.
