Step 1Now you have identified the correct spigot ring for your wheels and your vehicle, try the spigot ring on the wheel hub of the vehicle and make sure it fits tightly over the hub. If it does not then you have NOT got the correct application for your vehicle.
Step 2If you have got the correct ring then proceed. Remove the spigot ring from the vehicle hub and fit the spigot ring into the back of your wheels, see Step 3 and Step 4, and follow instructions.
Important note for TSW wheels:Spigot Rings should always be fitted with the tapered edge facing ‘up' towards the vehicle hub. This is to allow easy and accurate location of the Spigot Ring on to the vehicle wheel hub.
The spigot ring should now be securely in position in the back of your wheel.
VERY IMPORTANT: Spigot Ring Height
The spigot ring must not be standing proud ‘above' the surface of the back of the wheel*. See diagrams below:
When you have fitted the spigot rings correctly, fit the wheels to your car.
REMEMBER:
Ensure that you torque the wheel nuts/bolts to the vehicle manufacturer's recommended torque.
Ensure that the nuts or bolts you are using to fit the wheels to your car are the correct size and thread.
Ensure that the nuts or bolts that you are using to fit to the vehicle have enough thread on them to securely fit the wheels to your vehicle.
Do not over-tighten nuts or bolts when fitting wheels to your vehicle.
Periodically check the tightness of all wheel fixings to your vehicle.
Do not use an air gun to fit wheels
If in doubt contact a qualified mechanic to fit spigot rings to your wheels. Please make sure safetyis of utmost importance.
