Exhaust wraps help increase horsepower while reducing radiant heat damage. Wrapping your exhaust system retains hotter gasses, decreasing the density and allowing the exhuat gas to exit the system faster! Greater exhaust scavenging lowers the intake temperatures and gives you more horsepower.
Exhaust Wrap products are generally comprised of fibreglass, which protects against 537.8°C (1000°F) of continuous direct heat. Fibreglass wraps can have special coatings applied to them such as "Vermiculite" which allows the glass to take 1200°F of continuous direct contact. The 1093.3°C (2000°F) bench mark is the maximum temperature glass products can withstand for 3 seconds;anything beyond that temperature or period will damage the product.
We recommend that you wear gloves and eye protection when handling fibreglass products.
