6 types of E-tech strut braces are available: - T2 bars are brushed silver with black end hoops
- T3 bars are polished silver with black end hoops
- Wide bars are matt finish aluminium
- Billet alloy bars are machined from solid aluminium
- Light weight aluminium
- Carbon fibre with alloy end hoops
Strut braces are an essential accessory for any fast road or competition vehicle. When installed they help maintain a stable suspension geometry by stengthening the front suspension turrets, this increases road holding and reduces tyre wear. They also help prevent the chassis flexing and reduce movement of the inner wings.
Fixings are not supplied with strut braces. We recommend that a qualified mechanic or body-shop should install this type of product and they should be able to decide which are the best fixings. In many cases M8 nuts and bolts are adequate but in some extreme cases larger fixings may be required.
Please note: Most strut braces are designed to fit on to the original suspension mounts/turrets; it may be necessary on some vehicles to re-position certain components in the engine compartment to ensure a proper fit e.g. water bottles/fluid reservoirs etc.
In some cases you will need to drill the bodywork.
